Learn More About Our Dedicated Process

While our customized landscaping solutions may vary slightly for each client, here is a general summary of what to expect from David Landscape Group's process of operation. Contact us today to learn more about our services.

Step 1: Initial Phone Call Consultation With David Ulmer, Our Owner

On this call, we will:

  • Get an idea of our general budget range.
  • Talk through the scope of the project.
  • Review your ideas on the design and features of your project.
  • Answer any questions you may have.

Step 2: Meet in Person on Site

  • Complete a thorough site walk together.
  • Review potential locations for design features and elements.
  • Review options for landscape, hardscape, and other additional options.

Step 3: Initial Design Creation

  • We typically provide an initial rough draft design within a week or two.
  • We work together on changes and updates to match the design with your vision and budget.

Step 4: Finalize the Design Plan

  • The final design will include all aspects of the project, including dimensions, design elements, existing structures, and more.
  • The final design also includes a plant palette with examples of plants, trees, and colors intended for your landscaping.
  • The final design also includes a take-off plan with pictures and specifics for the products, plants, colors, and design elements for all aspects of your project.
  • All customers are given a copyright for full ownership of their final design.

Step 5: Final Bid/Cost Analysis for Installation

  • We provide you with a complete final cost for the installation of our completed final design.
  • Some of our customers use us for our design expertise and choose to either wait for installation, complete things in phases, or procure bids from other contractors.
  • If installation is also booked with us, we will credit the cost of the design toward your project.

Step 6: Scheduling, Permitting, and HOA Approval

  • We will help you with any permits that may be required for your project through the city or county.
  • If necessary, we also help submit designs and plans to satisfy the requirements of your HOA.
  • We’ll also start getting an idea of a schedule for our crews to install and build all aspects of your project.

Step 7: Installation

  • Following our installation schedule, our in-house crews will begin working on your project.
  • Our owner and team are always available and maintain constant communication throughout your project.

Step 8: Final Walkthrough

  • We’ll walk through the entire completed project together.
  • Any and all questions are more than welcome.
  • We’ll educate you on the features and maintenance of specific aspects of your new space.
  • We’ll address any concerns you may have and do our best to alleviate any outstanding items.

Step 9: Optional Ongoing Maintenance

  • After installation, we offer optional maintenance for your landscaping going forward.
  • For some projects, we include 30 days of complimentary maintenance after installation. Ask us for more details on this feature.
